Co-Founder, Chief Executive Officer
Val is a successful technology and marketing entrepreneur, building companies that have delivered over $100 million in exits and profits throughout his 20 year career. The companies he founded have always focused on leveraging the power of digital media and data, driving more than 10 million consumer transactions to date. More recently, Val has invested into several jewelry companies as a way of deepening his understanding of the industry. Val founded Jocalio with the passionate belief that technology, connectivity and data can have a massive positive impact on the jewelry ecosystem.
Co-Founder, Chief Marketing Officer
David has over 25 years’ experience in consumer marketing and advertising garnered through executive roles at multi-billion media groups as well as a number of successful technology start-ups. David has had the pleasure work across continents including the Americas, Europe and Asia as well as across industries - most recently in digital entertainment and music. As a Jocalio founder, David is excited to demonstrate how marketing and technology can be combined to more effectively understand and respond to changing consumer habits and tastes.
Head of Production
Egor delivers a 25+ years proven track record building and managing manufacturing operations in the fine jewelry industry. That includes extensive experience in sourcing, design, product development, global supply chain and quality control.
VP of Business Development
Albee has more than 15 years of sales and retail expertise. He previously served as vice president of Chow Tai Fook North America and subsidiary brand Hearts On Fire. Schimanski’s responsibilities there included overseeing sales, retailer training, in-store branding, and reward programs for retailers in North America, Latin America, and the Caribbean.
Chief Technology Officer
Jason is an experienced and proficient technology leader and manager, with a career in the technology industry spanning nearly 2 decades. He previously served as Chief Technology Offer at Some Spider Studios and has successfully founded and exited two photography startups. He has experience in building and scaling engineering teams, and managing development and operations for content management systems, media, and e-commerce websites.
Head of Product and Merchandising
Yun holds twenty years of experience as an accomplished merchandising and buying professional in the jewelry industry. Her expansive career includes working for David Yurman, John Hardy, Kate Spade, and other notable brands. She has previously held prominent positions such as Chief Merchandising Officer at Lightbox Jewelry (a DeBeers brand), where she oversaw the launch of their innovative lab-grown diamond jewelry collection while directing strategy for all aspects of brand growth. Yun has extensive experience in managing merchandising, design, product development, and demand planning in retail and wholesale globally.
